Premiership side Manchester City pulled off a coup at the start of this month when they signed the world class Brazilian international Robinho from Spanish and European giants Real Madrid for a whooping 42 million euros. And now the ADUG-blessed Premier League club appear to have signed Ronaldo!
Ronaldo has agreed to sign a one-year deal with Manchester City in January, according to reports in Brazil.
The Brazilian striker is currently training with old club Flamengo in a bid to rediscover his form, having been released by Milan following another serious knee injury.
Ronaldo, who will turn 32 next week, reportedly met with Carlos Roberto, City’s representative in Brazil, to negotiate the terms of a short-term contract with the Eastlands club.
The former Ballon d’Or is said to have been offered the chance to sign a one-year deal, with an option for another 12 months.
His agent Fabiano Farah is yet to confirm an agreement has been reached, while Ronaldo is trying to revive a stunning career that was ravaged by knee injuries.
