City Cancel Ronaldo Move

Ronaldo shall not be joining the Manchester City side. A club spokesman had admitted that, although in the past City did indeed want to sign the Ronaldo - who was released by AC Milan at end of last season - they have now decided not to pursue the former Barcelona and Real Madrid striker.

The spokesman is quoted as saying: “We had shown a past interest in bringing the player to the football club in the right circumstances and spoke to him and his representatives.

“However, we have chosen not to pursue the matter.”

So, another door slams shut in Ronaldo’s face! Is this the end of the goal machine? Of course, Flamengo are still interested in signing the bulky Brazilian, but if Ronaldo is not on the European football radar then one can safely assume he will slip into the mists of history sooner rather than later.
