The Giallorossi are looking around for a new central defender to bolster their rear-guard.
According to Italian daily newspaper 'Corriere dello Sport', the top name in their list is Bayern Munich's Lucio, who had been tracked by Roma prior joining the German club.
However, it looks like it will be a difficult operation for the Giallorossi as Lucio is valued at 10 million Euros and earns a high salary of 4 million Euros per year.
Still, the Giallorossi will try to negotiate their way to bring over the defender who has already expressed his desire to leave Germany in the past.
Lucio is not the only Brazilian player that Roma are following, as coach Luciano Spalletti is also highly interested in Gilberto (Hertha Berlin), Gilberto Silva (Arsenal), Paolo Assunçao (Porto), Juan (Flamengo), Fred (Lyon) and Nilmar (Internacional), according to the latest reports coming from Italy.
