There are renewed reports that Jose Mourinho is set for the Milan job this summer and that he will bring Chelsea star Didier Drogba with him.
The pressure is mounting on Carlo Ancelotti in the Rossoneri hot seat as he prepares to try and remedy a stuttering start to the Serie A campaign.
Despite delivering the Club World Cup in December, Ancelotti has been heavily criticised as his side have fallen out of Scudetto contention.
Mourinho is waiting to return to management and there were whispers that he turned down the England job as he had already agreed a deal with a top European side.
The Portuguese tactician has hinted that the Diavolo have approached him and according to the People, his arrival could attract the unsettled Drogba to San Siro.
The prolific Ivorian hitman was one of Mourinho’s most committed disciples and admits that he is headed for a Stamford Bridge exit.
“At the moment I think that at the end of the season I want to leave Chelsea,” Drogba told Eurosport.
“I have played here for two or three years already and the departure of Mourinho certainly didn’t help me. On the contrary, it made my desire for a fresh start still greater.”
The People suggests that Milan would need to table an offer of £40m to convince Chelsea to relinquish their grip on Drogba.
