AC Milan are tinkering with the idea of replacing the under-fire Nelson Dida with Flamengo goalkeeper Bruno Fernandes, according to Tuttosport.
Dida has had a simply disastrous season, costing his side dearly with a huge catalogue of errors.
The most recent of these mistakes came in the Milan derby when Esteban Cambiasso scored the winner for Inter when his harmless shot somehow found its way past the Brazilian.
Milan are certain to replace Dida at the end of the season and this has seen them linked to a host of top goalkeepers, including Sebastien Frey, Artur Boruc, Alexander Doni and Gomes.
However a lesser known name has now entered the equation in the form of Flamengo’s Bruno Fernandes.
The 23-year-old is on-loan at the Rio de Janeiro-based club from Atletico Mineiro and has impressed the Milan hierarchy with a series of fine performances this year.
Rossoneri chiefs Ariedo Braida and Leonardo have both made first-hand checks on the player recently and could soon firm this up with an official transfer bid.
There are already a large number of Brazilian goalkeepers in Serie A, with the likes of Julio Cesar at Inter, Doni at Roma, and Rubinho at Genoa.
