According to the Italian press, Shakhtar Donetsk striker Cristiano Lucarelli is currently at Parma to sign a contract which will bring him back to Italy after his short six month experience in Ukraine.
Even though there has been no official announcement yet, Lucarelli is being tipped to become a Parma player today.
The Italian international striker has reached an agreement with the Crociati in the last few days, and on Sunday, was spotted in the city, supposedly having travelled in order to complete a medical and seal the deal.
The player apparently even watched the game between his new team and Fiorentina at the Tardini on Sunday afternoon, where the latter won 2-1 thanks to a controversial late penalty.
He will become the most important purchase since president Tommaso Ghirardi took over a year ago.
The Parma fans will be hoping that his experience in the cold Ukraine will not have decreased his hunger for goals, and that his finishing is still up there with the best.
