Reports coming from Italy suggest that Serie A League Champions Internazionale are interested in signing Udinese's Nigerian midfielder Christian Obodo.
The current league leaders are reportedly hoping to strengthen their midfield with the signing of Obodo, who is presently still recuperating from a protracted injury that has kept him out of action for a good part of this present season.
According to reports on brilafm.net, speculations suggest that Inter coach Roberto Mancini is looking at the prospect of having Obodo and Genoa’s Abdoulay Konko in his injury-hit midfield as the nerazzurri race towards the final lap of the season.
Udinese presently rate the defensive midfielder as being worth about seven million pounds (9.3m euros), with the ex-Fiorentina man currently being under contract with the Friuli until 2012.
The defensively-minded player arrived in Udinese in 2005 after a season in Florence. Previously, he spent four years with Perugia after arriving from his youth club, Nigeria's Plateau United.
