Inter are eyeing Argentine striking starlet Sergio Aguero and there are rumours that Massimo Moratti is preparing a huge bid.
Moratti has hinted that the Italian champions will add another superstar to the ranks in the summer as the Nerazzurri look to create a dynasty.
There have been suggestions that Ronaldinho will be the new man, but Milan still seem to be in pole position for the Brazilian, prompting the Inter chief to look elsewhere.
Aguero is one of La Liga’s brightest young stars and has already become a key component in the Atletico Madrid side.
At the age of 19, FIFA’s Young Player of the Year for 2007 is already an Argentine international and one of Europe’s hottest properties.
Reports suggest that Moratti is lining up a £20m offer to secure Aguero’s signature in the summer and that Coach Roberto Mancini has his heart set on working with the youngest player ever to debut in Argentina’s Primera Liga.
While Atletico have made it clear that they have no intention of parting with such a prized asset, they would be making an £8m profit, having paid Independiente just £12m in May 2006.
Much depends on whether fourth-placed Atletico can secure Champions League football, as Aguero will be looking to take part in Europe’s showpiece tournament next term.
