Genoa join Foggia hunt

Pasquale Foggia’s agent has revealed that the Cagliari player is a January target for Serie A strugglers Genoa.

The Rossoblu and their great city rivals Sampdoria have been linked with the unsettled Italian international and a port based club future seems to be a possibility.

“I think that Genoa might be more interested in Foggia than Sampdoria presently are,” noted Tiberio Cavallari. “I know that Genoa are very keen.”

Foggia, on loan in Sardinia from Lazio, is seriously considering his options after his fine start to the season was brought to an abrupt end by an alleged confrontation with teammate Davide Marchini.

“If you believe everything you read in the papers then it would look like Pasquale could be in trouble, but rubbish has been written and we will defend ourselves in the relevant arena.”
